Specification :
Soil compaction is of utmost requirement for
constructing earth fill for dams, canal embankments, reservoirs,
highways, runways and railways. The relationship between soil
moisture content and compacted dry density largely determine the
construction specifications and quality control of compacted
earthfill. To check the strength of the soil the density of the soil is
taken into account and hence the quality control is checked
otherwise.
